Those Who Are Kind To The Cruel, In The End Will Be Cruel To The Kind…
by Gerald A. Honigman
I’m sure other folks have their own version of the above saying. This one is of the Jews. It comes from Qohelet Raba, 7:16, in the Talmud.
Too bad the Jews are the least likely to grasp the wisdom of these ancient words…
Who among reasonable people could not be glad about the hoped-for soon release of kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Schalit?
But, as many have already noted, the price will be astronomical…
According to a list published by Hamas of more than a thousand Arabs who will be released in exchange, there will be many who took part in the murder, attempted murder, and/or kidnapping of Jews.
Among those being freed will be the planners of the 2001 bombing of the Dolphinarium disco in Tel Aviv, in which 21 Israeli teenagers were slaughtered, and the murderers of Yossi Shok in 2005, who was survived by his wife and five young children.
Unfortunately, as famed American League baseball icon, Yogi Berra, would say…it’s like déjà vu again.
When will the Jews learn?
Before the current games he’s now once again playing, President Obama’s good buddy and Arafat’s hand-picked top lieutenant, Mahmoud Abbas, insisted that he wouldn’t return to earlier “peace” negotiations (Jew arm-twisting) until Israel released 2,000 more prisoners–many of whom also had innocent blood on their hands or were wannabes.
I like famous sayings, as you can see above. So, here’s another one to ponder…
“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
That one was by Albert Einstein.
I don’t blame Hamas or Abbas for any of the problems that are now unfolding.
As Arafat’s successor and head of Fatah–which has at least as much deliberate blood of babes on its hands as Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the other heroic Arab groups — Mahmoud Abbas is what he is–and all sane folks should understand this. And remember, as well, that both he and his Palestinian Authority are the American State Department and President Obama’s assigned “good cops” in this game as opposed to the Hamas bad ones.
The reality is that Hamas & Co. are simply more honest in their rejectionist attitudes towards having a state of the Jews as a neighbor. No game-playing or word manipulations, to receive billions of dollars from the dhimmi West, for them! And no taqiyya –lying to promote the cause –either…a favorite of Abbas’s boys employed in dealing with an all-too-gullible, or just simply openly supportive, West.
It is with this background that we must consider the release of Gilad Schalit.
“Fool me once, shame on you…”
Fool me a thousand times?
Then take another good look at Einstein’s above quote.
There is a long history of Israel capturing Arab butchers and their accomplices, jailing them, and later being repeatedly blackmailed into releasing them…usually hundreds at a time for the bones of a few dead Jews. This time–hopefully–Israel will be getting a live one back instead. I’ll believe it when I see it…
And most folks think Jews are smart!
This must stop.
Israel has no one but itself to blame for such things. It has repeatedly set itself up for future deadly problems.Take just this one of too many other earlier examples to illustrate this point…
Among the other prizes Israel supplied room and board to was Samir Kuntar, whom the Jews held for almost three decades. He was released in 2008 as part of another prisoner swap and was welcomed home as a hero.
Kuntar’s bio is educational — and only emphasizes how beyond nauseatingly stupid Jews can really be.
Back on April 22, 1979, he led a team which entered Israel from Lebanon by boat.
Around midnight the team reached coastal Nahariya, killed a policeman, and entered a building. They then split into two groups, one breaking into the apartment of the Haran family. Danny was taken hostage along with his four-year-old daughter, Einat. His wife, Smadar, hid in a crawl space with their two-year-old daughter, Yael, and a neighbor.
Kuntar’s group next dragged Danny and Einat to the beach. Kuntar shot Danny at close range in front of Einat and then drowned him to ensure that he was dead.
Next, he smashed the four year old girl’s head on beach rocks, crushing her skull with the butt of his rifle. Forensic evidence indeed showed Einat’s brain tissue on Kuntar’s rifle butt.
Meanwhile, back in the crawl space, 2-year-old Yael Haran had been accidentally suffocated to death by her mother’s attempts to quiet her whimpering so as not to reveal their hideout.
While Kuntar’s exploits rank “up there” with Arabs as far as heroics go, he is no exception to the rule. Think of five members of the Fogel family–including an infant and two other young children–who only recently had their throats slit while they slept.
And now, as we just learned, virtual Kuntar clones will be among those being released for Schalit.
Returning to the opening Talmudic wisdom, Israel must enact a death penalty and do so quickly.
If a Jew, Kurd, Copt, Amazigh (Berber), black African, etc. — or even fellow Arab — pulled this kind of murderous manure, none would live to see another day let alone be fed, housed, and so forth at their victims’ expense for years…only to later be used in blackmail down the road against the state that treated them humanely.
“Those who are kind to the cruel in the end will be cruel to the kind…”
No doubt.
Israel must rid itself of its idea that to be “humane” it must out-Christian Christians in running out of cheeks to turn towards enemies that want it destroyed and who disembowel its people in glee. And it must replace moronic Lefty judges who continuously endanger Jewish and other innocents by indulging in such behavior.
Many released wild beasts like Kuntar come back to murder again. Indeed, Hamas’s leaders have promised that this will be the case after the Schalit deal is completed.
Such Arab heroes should never be taken alive — or executed quickly soon afterwards.
When someone deliberately decapitates infants and slits the throats of young children–and the identity of the guilty party is beyond doubt–then that person has sealed his or her own fate…or at least should have.
In trying to display how enlightened and humane it is, Israel has been creating this deadly problem for itself for decades–and with the same, predictable, horrendous consequences. Arabs have openly laughed at this behavior. Now, think about Einstein’s quote above again.
After Gilad Schalit’s return home, let’s pray that Israel will finally wise up and enact capital punishment for those who thrive and take pride in the death of innocents.
