But, is Israel watching?

Recently, with problems on the horizon for President Bush and Secretary Rice’s proposed Middle East peace (of the grave) summit, Condi stated that she’d turn for advice to two former Presidents.

I’m convinced that this was a Divine, eleventh hour wake up call for Israel.

Now who, pray tell, is Condi turning to for such consultations?

Let’s take them one at a time…

Firstly, there’s Jimmy “Apartheid Israel” Carter, whose Carter Center and such receives a fortune in Arab donations…including from Osama bin Laden’s own Saudi cousins.

Arabs commit genocide against black Africans in the Sudan, butcher and gas Kurds, murder and burn down churches of Egyptian Copts, murder and subjugate North African Berbers, and so forth, but Mr. Peanut’s high power lens of moral scrutiny can only find an admittedly imperfect Israel --which has Arabs who side with Hamas in its own Parliament--to focus upon. Not to mention the one half of Israel’s Jews who fled so-called “Arab” lands, where they were commonly known as kilab yahud…Jew dogs.

Knowing full well that after the ’67 Six Day War, Israel was not required to return to the status quo ante (i.e., the ‘49 U.N.-imposed armistice lines, which simply marked the spot where the fighting stopped and which made Israel virtually invisible on a map of the world and a constant temptation to its enemies), as President Ronald Reagan, Secretary of State George Shultz, and other American officials fully understood, Carter pretends otherwise. He claims Judeans wanting to live in Judea is racism, and insists that Judea and Samaria--known by this long before British imperialism renamed it the “West Bank”--must become Judenrein…free of Jews.  He also sees Israel’s attempts to stop the atrocities committed against its innocents as the moral equivalent of Arabs blowing up buses, restaurants, teen night clubs, and such.

Indeed, Mr. Peanut has never met an Arab disemboweler of Jewish babes whom he didn’t have an excuse for.

And he’s one of the two seers Condi seeks advice from.

Not that Condi doesn’t know how to twist Jew arms herself, mind you.

Her blow ups on Sharon’s own ranch and such are legendary. The Jews weren’t caving in fast enough for her Arab buddies. And remember those arms she wanted the Jews themselves to supply to those moderate Arafatian good cops in Fatah? The bad cops in Hamas say thank you for them now…

Like it makes a difference to Israel in the long term which one gets them.

Is anybody conscious over there?

What will it take to get new Israeli elections underway and to get new folks who aren’t afraid to say no on the scene?

This is one party that Israel must either stay away from or have the right folks attend. Since the right folks aren’t at the helm right now, then…

All Israel can expect from such a summit are results Condi’s Seer # 2 can claim credit for.

The President who disgraced America as well as the White House--and I voted both for Carter in ‘76 (he had good environmental policies) and for Clinton--had Arafat to the White House repeatedly. You know, that same Arafat who, under Clinton’s watch, America constantly covered up for and who claimed that the Arab mother--the source for suicide/homicide bombers--was his best weapon.

Under Clinton’s watch, Israel was forced to give and give and give to the Arabs in the Oslo Accords--and got non-stop barbarism and death in return.

At Camp David 2000, in attempt to redeem his legacy, Clinton continued Carter’s one-sided arm twisting and forced Israel to agree to relinquish it’s right to the secure and recognized borders it was entitled to via United Nations Security Council Resolution 242.

Forget about those who shoot the bull and claim 242 was “ambiguous.”

Not so.

All the architects--Lord Caradon, Eugene Rostow, and so forth agree that Israel was not expected to return to the ‘49 Auschwitz /armistice lines. And any withdrawal at all was to be made in the context of real peace agreements…not temporary ceasefires designed only to gain time for Arabs until their next attempt on the life of the Jew of the Nations.

We hear consistently that Arabs threaten not to attend the party either unless the Jews once again agree--as Prime Minister Barak did for Mr. Degenerate at Camp David and Taba--to give away the store.

I’m convinced that Israel now has its legitimate response handed to it…if it will only pay attention to its senses and to Heaven’s most recent alert, courtesy of an American Secretary of State.

Dubya and Condi would never consent to such a deal for America that it expects to force down Israel’s throat or up somewhere else. And America is a nation of over three hundred million people, in a land three thousand miles wide, and with two vast oceans separating it from its enemies.

That Mr. Peanut and Mr. Degenerate are Condi’s last minute guiding lights should tell any Israeli with functioning neurons what’s in store at Annapolis as yet another American President, George W. Bush, attempts to regain his declining popularity as he leaves office with Jews paying the price in blood.

What’s Good For The Goose…

ain’t good for the gander.

I just found out from one of my Middle East sources that the United States and Britain recently made a joint call for Iraq to take immediate steps to halt cross-border attacks by the Iraqi-based Kurdish PKK into Turkey.

The Voice of America’s David Gollust reported from the State Department that the issue dominated a Washington meeting between Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and British Foreign Secretary David Miliband. While both welcomed statements by the Iraqi government condemning attacks by the PKK, they say it’s now time for more tangible action to be taken by the central government in Baghdad and the Kurdish Regional Authority if a large-scale Turkish invasion is to be avoided.

I agree…and have told my Kurdish friends the same. No nation should be expected to tolerate such attacks.

But, here’s my problem…the typical State Department double standards and hypocrisy so readily practiced.

Let’s back up a bit. And before I proceed, please understand that there is much about the Turkish Republic that I admire. That does not mean, however, that a cover-up is in order.

After World War I, Mustafa Kemal--Ataturk--saved what was left of the Ottoman Empire and saw to the birth of the modern Turkish Republic.

Now minus most of its former European and Near Eastern territories, Turkey drew its lines in the sand beyond which no further territorial losses would be tolerated. The Armenians and Kurds especially got caught up in this bloody turmoil.

Forming about one-fifth of Turkey’s population (the same percentage of Arabs who live in an Israel about one-fortieth Turkey‘s size), the Kurds are found mostly in the southeastern region. They’ve lived in the particular area for millennia…long before an Arab or Turk ever set foot there.

During the age of the spread of the Dar ul-Islam especially via various Arab and Turkish empires, the Kurds jumped on the Islamic bandwagon. Salah-al-Din was the Kurdish nightmare of Christendom during the Crusades.

But, by the 19th century, emerging ethno-nationalist revolts for independence had already begun. During the era of World War I, a common saying among Western diplomats regarding the war’s aftermath and the collapse of the Turks’ empire went something like this… Arabia for the Arabians, Armenia for the Armenians, Judea for the Judeans.

Along these same lines, one of President Woodrow Wilson’s famous 14 Points addressed Kurdish independence as well. The British held out such hopes to the Kurds until they received a favorable decision from the League of Nations in 1925 tying the oil of the Kurdish north to the new British Mandate of Mesopotamia in the Mosul decision. From then on, British petroleum politics aligned with Arab nationalism to squash the one best chance Kurds ever had to achieve independence in the new nationalist era. Over thirty million Kurds remain stateless to date as a result of that abortion. And when we read or hear about them today, they’re more often than not simply referred to as rebels, separatists, and so forth. Frustrated in seeing others achieve independence, and often subjugated (or worse) by Turks, Arabs, and Iranians now ruling most of the lands they lived in for millennia, revolt they did…

To deal with the fear of further geographical loss, the Turks decided that only one culture would fit all in the land. So, for example, Kurds were henceforth recreated as “Mountain Turks”--with even their language outlawed. Ismet Cherif Vanly’s book, The Syrian Mein Kampf Against The Kurds (Amsterdam 1968), showed Arabs following the same game plan. An Arab Saddam would do likewise in Iraq, and so forth, with similar nightmares to be found in multi-ethnic Iran as well.

Into this state of subjugation, the Kurdish PKK was born in Turkey.

Unlike Israel (where Arabic was made the second official language of the State, where Arabs who side with Hamas, Fatah, and others dedicated to Israel’s destruction serve in Parliament, and so forth), Kurds were simply expected to deny their own identity for the sake of Turkish nationalism. Keep in mind that twenty-one Arab states already surround Israel--before the creation of their proposed 22nd.

So now we come to the current mess…

A multi-ethnic Iraq, which was artificially put together for largely others’ interests the same way another “nation “ --Yugoslavia--was upon the breakup of empires in the early 20th century, will probably not survive an American withdrawal…and this might not necessarily be a bad development. I’ve written about this often elsewhere, so won’t expand upon this now.

Compared to the tragic situation in the Arab areas, Iraqi Kurdistan--with its imperfections--is still a shining light. Arabs and others have fled to there to escape the barbarism.

Amid the mountain strongholds of the Kurdish north, however, PKK Kurdish fighters from Turkey have taken refuge. In so doing, they may very well set back the progress Kurds have finally made towards full autonomy--and perhaps, later on, even independence.

Having long felt cheated by the 1925 Mosul decision, Turkey is very likely considering a move on the oil of Iraqi Kurdistan if conditions permit. A breakup of Iraq might be the ticket later on…as Iran also eyes the Iraqi Shi’a south (once part of an earlier Iranian empire).

For now, with American forces still engaged, the Turks’ limited goal will remain focused as it has been…keep what’s happening among Iraqi Kurds from spreading northwest.

A Turkey which lectures Israel about the need to create a second state for Arabs (Jordan being the first) within the original 1920 borders of that other British Mandate, Palestine, threatens war if some thirty million stateless Kurds finally get a slice of justice in the nationalist age…and in Iraq--not Turkey!

For their part, Kurds in Turkey must understand that they will never achieve what the PKK supposedly is fighting for there. As stated above, Turks have drawn their lines.

Having said this, if Turkey wants to be seen as something better than the racist despotisms which are also in the region--like those which gas Kurds, engage in genocide in the Sudan, and so forth--then it will have to vastly improve the lives of its Kurdish citizens. Again, think about the comparison with an Israel which, in many ways, is far more endangered by its potential fifth column than Turkey is.

Currently, as seen above, Condi and the Foggy Folks expect the KRG and Baghdad to produce what all the support the American State Department has given towards the creation of Arab state # 22 has yet to.

While it is in the KRG’s own interest to bring an end to PKK attacks from Iraqi Kurdistan, the hypocrisy is still sickening.

The State Department expects an Israel about one-fortieth the size of Turkey to give away the store at the arm-twisting party it’s planning at the upcoming summit, knowing full well that with all of the support it has given to Abbas and his fellow latter day Arafatians, the leopards haven’t changed their spots. They’re just smirking as they see their well-known destruction-in-stages plans for Israel unfold nicely due to Washington. Arafat, Abbas, and all of their comrades never lifted a finger--with tens of thousands of armed military and police at their disposal--to stop the constant barbarism against Jews in restaurants, buses, teen nightclubs, pizzerias, shopping malls, homes, and so forth. In fact, they funded it and were often a part of it.

Yet, with American interests now directly at stake in Iraq, that same State Department expects Iraqi Kurds to simply ignore the very real grievances of their people in Turkey when dealing with the PKK.

While it’s true that this situation cannot continue as it is and PKK attacks from Iraq must stop, I must also end this with a question…

Why is it that the State Department feels free to bully Israel into suicidal concessions regarding creating Arab State # 22, but mere talk of improving the plight of subjugated “Mountain Turks” or creating State # 1 for Kurds is still unspeakable?

Bush and Rice...Hadrian's Successors

President Bush and Secretary of State Rice are determined to cram yet another Arab state (#22, and second, not first, in “Palestine”…Jordan carved out of some 80% of the original 1920 Mandate) dedicated--either sooner or later--to Israel’s destruction down the latter’s throat. Leaving office in the foreseeable future, and with the Iraq mess not looking less messier in the long term, they’d like this legacy to call their own.

Notice I said nothing about peace as being part of that actual Middle East legacy. Devout Christians, I guess that’s like the concept of a Heavenly Jerusalem as opposed to political reality.

No matter what they say, on the record, about wanting a two-state solution, Dubya and Condi know full well that that’s not what their so-called “moderate” Arab buddies have in mind for the long term. And forget about the at least more honest Hamas & Co.

Both have access to all that Abbas and his fellow Fatah Arafatians have been saying to their own people in Arabic, preaching in their mosques, posting on their official maps and websites, teaching to their kids, etc. and so forth. “Peace” with the Jews is most certainly no where to be found.

As many of us have written for years now, the current push by Israel’s “best friends” simply falls right into the Arabs’ own post-’67 game plan.

Having pushed onto the back burner the blueprint for Israel’s destruction in one fell swoop after it backfired in the Six Day War, the new Arab strategy called for a destruction in stages. Israel was first “diplomatically” to be pressured into returning to its microscopic (in some places 9-mile wide), indefensible, ‘49 armistice line--not border--existence. Afterwards, the combination of massive Arab armaments and manpower in the surrounding states would be allied with the newest Arab state, set up in Israel’s backyard, to undo Israel’s 1948 rebirth on some 11% of the total area of the 1920 Mandate of Palestine.

Since the Oslo Peace (of the grave) process, the Arabs have watched this destruction in stages process unfold nicely. And now, an American president, who has seen his ratings nosedive, has agreed to the wishes of a State Department who fought President Truman over the very rebirth of Israel in the first place and has often been hostile ever since. Keep in mind that many of these folks--including America’s current two top players--have had impressive and lucrative Arab petrodollar connections…especially after they leave office.

Who doesn’t want peace? I guess it matters how that word is defined.

But a look at what Israel got from Gaza after a total withdrawal--thousands of mortar and rocket attacks, death, destruction, and so forth launched by Arabs now simply that much closer to Israel proper-- tells us what’s in store for Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, and so forth after Abbas gets all of Judea and Samaria--aka the “West Bank.”

As every excuse under the sun was made for Abbas for not stopping Arab attacks on Israel when he was solely in charge of the show (as the great puppeteer, the Egyptian ghoul, Arafat’s, successor), expect likewise from “Palestine” after Bush and Condi twist Israel’s arms into not spoiling their full throttle “peace” initiative by refusing suicide.

Keep in mind, an America that repeatedly goes to war thousands of miles away from home in the name of its own national security (and why did we really topple Noriega in Panama?) is now demanding that Israel relinquish any minute semblance of this itself and place its faith totally in the hands of those who now see their destruction in stages plans coming into fruition.

Additionally, Dubya and Condi’s darling, Abbas, insists that after Israel’s withdrawal to the ‘49 armistice lines, it must then also agree to be flooded by jihadist alleged Arab refugees. The one half of Israel’s Jews who were refugees from “Arab” lands due to the same war Arabs launched to nip Israel in the bud in ‘48 are of no concern.

Now, please turn the clock back two millennia and look at the opening quote above from one of the Roman Empire’s key historians.

Notice, please, some things change and others never do.

After the 1st Revolt in 66-73 C.E. (see also the contemporary accounts of the Roman-sponsored Jewish historian, Josephus, in his extensive Antiquities of the Jews and Wars of the Jews), Rome issued thousands of Judaea Capta coins which can be seen today in museums all over the world. Notice, please, Judaea Capta...not “Palaestina Capta.” Additionally, to celebrate this victory, the Arch of Titus was erected and stands tall in Rome to this very day.

When, some sixty years later, Emperor Hadrian decided to further desecrate the site of the destroyed Temple of the Jews by erecting a pagan structure there, it was the grandchildren’s turn to take on their mighty conquerors.

The result of the struggle of this tiny nation for its freedom was, perhaps, as predictable as that which would have occurred had Lithuania taken on the Soviet Union during its heyday of power. Listen next to this quote from Dio Cassius:

580,000 men were slain, nearly the whole of Judaea made desolate. Many Romans, moreover, perished in this war (the Bar Kochba Revolt). Therefore Hadrian in writing to the senate did not employ the opening phrase commonly affected by the emperors, ‘ I and the legions are in health.’

Hadrian was so enraged at the Jews’ struggle for freedom in their own land that, in the words of the esteemed modern historian, Bernard Lewis, “Hadrian made a determined attempt to stamp out the embers not only of the revolt but also of Jewish nationhood and statehood… obliterating its Jewish identity.”

Wishing to end, once and for all, Jewish hopes, Hadrian renamed the land itself from Judaea to “Syria Palaestina”—Palestine—after the Jews’ historic enemies, the Philistines, a non-Semitic sea people from the eastern Mediterranean or Aegean area. Up until that time the name was used by Greeks and Romans simply to designate a region, not a kingdom, nation, or such.

All of this did not occur until after 135 C.E., with the defeat of Judaea’s charismatic leader, Shimon Bar Kochba. And, as with the breathtaking discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls practically at the moment of Israel’s rebirth almost six decades ago by an Arab shepherd boy, Bar Kochba’s letters to his troops, his minted coins “For the Freedom of Israel,” and other archaeological treasures were also soon unearthed

Dubya and Condi‘s projected Palestine--which, like Hadrian’s, intends to replace Israel--not live along side it--became largely “Arab” the same way that most of the twenty-one states that already call themselves “Arab” today did… by the conquest, occupation, settlement, and forced Arabization of other native, non-Arab peoples and their lands… Berbers, Copts, Black Africans, Jews, Kurds, and so forth.

Muhammad and his Arab successors’ imperial caliphal armies burst out of the Arabian Peninsula in the 7th century C.E. and spread the Dar ul-Islam in all directions.

The Ottoman Turks were the latest in a long series of imperialist conquerors to rule the land since the Jews fought for their independence against Rome. No one ever had an independent kingdom or nation there since the fall of Judaea. The Ottomans ruled for some four centuries up until after World War I. From the 10th century onwards, the Arabs lost control of the land themselves. And when the Arabs’ own imperial empires ruled, it was from Damascus or Baghdad. There was never an independent Arab entity of Palestine.

During the Mandatory period following the break up of empires after World War I, the League of Nations Permanent Mandates commission recorded scores of thousands of Arabs pouring into a largely depopulated Palestine from surrounding countries to take advantage of the economic development going on because of the Jews. Many more entered under cover of darkness and were never listed. All of these folks were preceded in the 19th century by many thousands of Egyptians who came with Muhammad Ali and son Ibrahim pasha’s invading armies and never left… more Arab settlers in Palestine. Arafat himself was one of them. So was Hamas’ “patron saint,” Izzadin al-Qassam… coming from Latakia, Syria.

Back to the current reality, I believe it was the late Israeli Prime Minister, Golda Meir, who perhaps said it best. I’ll try to paraphrase it…

It’s not what Gentiles think but what the Jews will do that in the end counts.

While this may sound quite naïve coming from a people whose population accounts for so small a portion of the world’s population, think about what the opposite has achieved throughout most of the past millennia.

As I wrote many months ago, the party Dubya and Condi have in store for Israel should be one Israel declines to attend until Israel gets itself leaders who will not simply be yes men for those who do not have their nation’s best interests in mind.

While the latter is not the job of an American president or secretary of state (as Lord Palmerston said, nations don’t have permanent friends, just interests), it is the most important job of the leadership of Israel.

And, unlike a three-thousand mile-wide America, Israel doesn’t have two vast oceans separating it from those who wish it ill.

If Jews Had Any Brains, They'd Be Christians

Now, Don’t Be Offended…

but, if Jews had any brains they’d be Christians.

Ann Coulter appeared on Donny Deutsch’s CNBC television program, The Big Idea, a few days ago.

In the midst of discussing her new book, If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans, she lectured her Jewish host that Jews needed to be perfected…ya know, like her and fellow Christians. Those same perfect folks who killed and humiliated countless millions of G_d’s children over the millennia for not accepting Christianity’s version of the Divine plan. Also keep in mind that when the Coulters now get a taste of their own previous medicine, courtesy of Islamofascists, they throw a supreme hissyfit

Not that it really makes a difference who’s dishing intolerance out in G_d’s name.

Honest Ann ( I commend her for simply stating solid, traditional Christian beliefs) next was surprised that Donny seemed offended. I mean, after all, why can’t Jews see the good Christian “love” brought them over the centuries… forced conversions, inquisitions, crusades, expulsions, blood libels, autos-da-fe, subjugation, pogroms, humiliation, countless massacres, the Holocaust…

They must be blind.

Precisely!

Coulter wouldn’t write the book I hinted at above, “If Jews Had Brains, They Would Be Christians,” but best believe she thinks those stereotypical “smart” Hebes are stubborn and blind instead--things her own faith has taught for centuries…as well as Jews being “sons of the Devil, doing your father‘s deeds.”

Churches in Europe still have statues and pictures commemorating such things…Jews stabbing the host of the Eucharist to “kill Jesus” again; a fallen Jewish princess with blinders over her eyes; Jews kidnapping Christian children to use their blood for religious purposes; Jews poisoning wells to cause plague; and so forth. The first picture of a Jew in England is entitled, “Aaron, son of the Devil.” And even the enlightened Michelangelo’s sculpture of Moses has what most viewers will see as Devil’s horns coming from his head…regardless of the rays of light explanations.

The cold, hard fact is that the road to Auschwitz was paved for centuries with such Christian “love.”

Coulter went on to elaborate how Judaism was just primarily a religion of laws and how Jesus relieved the world of this burden.

I guess she never heard of such things as these paraphrases from the Hebrew Bible…not, the “Old” Testament…

Offer Me not your vain sacrifices if you do not justice for the widow and the orphan…

What does the Lord require of thee but to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with thy G_d…

Love they neighbor as thyself…

Or, since Ann rejects Hebraic laws, she mustn’t like the Ten Commandments.

Etc., etc., and so forth.

Yeh, there are laws. And there’s Canon Law and such too.

But the essence of Judaism is the ethical faith you see exemplified in the above paraphrases. Jews are supposed to show their love of G_d by how they act (mitzvot)…not by just what they believe. And you don’t see them forcing their beliefs on others.

While the Coulter types typically talk of Judaism’s “exclusivity” complex, in reality, it’s just the opposite. It’s Christianity which has historically claimed that it possessed the sole key to G_d, not Judaism…ever.

I had mixed feelings about Coulter up until now. Some say that this is just more of Coulter’s shtick. Not so. Her offense this time has a particularly bloody and tragic history behind it.

Being a fan (while not always agreeing with anybody) of Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, and so forth, I can’t be accused of having an anti-Conservative bias. So…

an ignorant witch (which rhymes with…) she is…I’d love to share a podium with her. I’m too dumb to give her the wiser Deutsch treatment. That’s why he’s rich and I’m a teacher in debt up to his eyeballs.

While Donny was baffled by Coulter’s honesty, he was ineffective in how he handled it. And perhaps by necessity…

Back in medieval days, Christians loved to put Jews and their religion on public display for ridicule. These were known as disputations, and Jewish leaders were summoned to defend some aspect of their religion.

As Ann lives in a country with some three hundred million Christians and about five million Jews (only about a third of whom really give a hoot), when she takes Deutsch to task on television, it rings an all-too- familiar tone…something Jews have heard and had to survive for centuries.

As the Jewish “defender” of his people and faith walked a delicate line in how he responded during disputations (his minority people could be damned if he “won” and damned if he “lost”), so Donny needs to keep his ratings up and not offend the offender. And his own bosses and audience.

Many Jews know Christian theology very well. I certainly do…having studied it at the doctoral level, and so forth.

But do Christians like Coulter ever ask themselves why Jews are “stubborn” and “blind” to the formers’ attempts to cram their “love” up Semitic derrieres?

Perhaps a well-known ancient Roman historian can explain it for them.

You see, when Rome persecuted Christians, it was largely because the only thing they knew about the latter was that their leader was crucified as a Jewish patriot against Roman oppression. They were just Jews by another name…those same Jews who took on the mighty Roman Empire for over a century for their freedom and independence. Visit the Arch of Titus, standing tall in Rome to this very day, to see how Rome felt about their victory over the Jews.

So, for Coulter & Co., I suggest that they take a look below and see one of the real main reasons why Jews must reject their version of Divine “truth”…

Here’s the Roman historian, Tacitus (Volume II, Book V), writing after Judaea, the tiny nation of the Jews, took on its mighty Roman imperial conquerors:

“The Jews acknowledge one God only, and conceive of him by the mind alone, condemning, as impious, all who, with perishable materials, wrought into the human shape, form representations of the Deity. You see, while other ancient peoples deified their great leaders, Jews bent over backwards to show the gulf between man and G_d…the ethical G-d of history whom, by the way, they introduced to the world. Coulter would still be practicing fertility rights and such if not for this “blind people’s” faith.

In any other ancient society, Moses and David would have been turned into gods. The Jews recorded them as sinners instead.

What I have written above would have gotten me killed over the centuries…and my people would have likely been rounded up and burned in the local synagogue as well. I may lose some publisher friends as a result.

Like Ann, however, I too must be honest. And I refuse to play the Ghetto Jew (Uncle Abe instead of Uncle Tom) role.

I truly have dear Christian friends who were probably as sickened by Coulter’s remarks as I was.
