Disproving The Myth Of Smart Jews
Disproving The Myth Of Smart Jews…
by Gerald A. Honigman
Israel has been doing the above a lot lately.
Not knowing how to say no to those shoving a peace of the grave “peace” deal with the “good” terrorists of Fatah rather than the “bad” ones of Hamas comes to mind for starters.
And, for quite some time, it has put up with outright treason from Arab citizens who side with Hamas and others who work towards Israel’s destruction. This has included involvement in terrorism, attacks and intimidation of Jews, collaboration with the enemy, and so forth. This also includes Arab representatives in Israel’s Parliament, the Knesset.
Imagine what would happen to Jews, Copts, Kurds, or others doing likewise in “Arab” countries.
Treason is well defined, and there’s no doubt in many of these cases. The derrieres of such folks need to be kicked over the goal post and out of the country. And this includes some Jew idiots as well.
Now, to be fair, what’s good for the Jew idiot and Arab Islamofascist must also be good for the Russian neo-Nazi…
Dumb Jews, yet again…
What are they trying to prove?
After waiting for millennia for the resurrection of their nation, too many seem either complacent or ignorant of that which festers in their midst…as if there weren’t enough non-self-inflicted problems to deal with.
It turns out that neo-Nazi groups surfacing in Israel have been around for some time …attacking Jews, defacing synagogues, and so forth.
I’ve seen interviews where Jews have told of wanting to convert to Christianity due to the anti-Semitism they faced in their schools…in Israel!
It turns out that during the great exodus from the Soviet Union (and Russia after its collapse), not a few non-Jews made their way into Israel and took up residence. They’re now laughing their arses off at the dumb Yids.
This is beyond nauseating.
They’ve come into a country formed from the most persecuted people this planet has ever seen and proceed to dish out the same manure they did for centuries in the old country where Jews had no choice but to be on the receiving end.
But there is a choice now.
And their presence in Israel makes a mockery of the latter’s very existence.
When will Jews stop trying to prove that they’re better Christians than Christians?
There’s no cheek to turn on this matter. It must be dealt with firmly.
Too many Jews who dreamt of Zion did not live to see its resurrection.
Allowing such vermin to live in the land is nothing short of disgracing the memories of untold numbers of Jewish martyrs.
Neo-Nazi treason must also get the boot. Send them to their fellow Aryan nation--Ahmadinejad’s Iran.
Jews must not hide behind a liberal open door policy…as tempting as it is for too many of my left-leaning, head-in-the-sand brethren.
That policy must be reserved for those truly deserving of it. And Israel has done just that with non-Jews in the past.
But to allow this for those who openly declare their hatred of the people and the nation they took up residence in is insane. And cowardly.
Now, shuhhh…You didn’t hear what’s below from me…
Before getting the boot, wouldn’t it be nice if some Israeli special forces accidentally happen to come across some of those neo-Nazi meeting places?
Nice send off…don’t ya think?

Ahmadinejad At Columbia...
President Bollinger…Keep Your Promise
by Gerald A. Honigman
Iran’s President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is slated to arrive in the United States this week to address the United Nations. Columbia University’s president, Lee Bollinger, has also extended an invitation to him to address his prestigious university.
Bollinger’s colleague, Dean John Coatsworth, subsequently stated that if Hitler was alive, he’d invite him as well, primarily to ask a series of tough questions. It is fitting that he made this analogy since Ahmadinejad has repeatedly promised to pick up where Hitler left off vis-à-vis the Jews. And, as with the latter, Bollinger promised that he’d introduce the Iranian Hitler wannabe with a series of tough questions
Regardless of Columbia’s president’s claims, I have some serious concerns.
Since most of academia, the United Nations, media folks, and such treat visiting Israelis far differently than they do representatives from Muslim countries, I will be a non-believer until I see otherwise.
Whether the Israeli is from the left or the right, he or she can expect non-stop grilling at such visits. At times, they have been prevented from even speaking.
Too often those who confront Israel about every and all of its alleged sins cower at any semblance of the above when interviewing Muslim counterparts. Since Columbia has become a hotbed of anti-Israel activity, the concerns are even more serious.
Considering this, I have a few questions that I’d like to ask President Bollinger to pass along to Iran’s leader.
Firstly, why is it that Iran can demand a second state for Arabs in “Palestine” (Arabs historically never had one there, and purely Arab Jordan was created from some 80% of the original 1920 Mandate’s borders when Transjordan was carved out in 1922) and support groups like Hamas and Hizbullah which aim to destroy Israel (with Iran stating this as a goal itself), yet millions of Arabs, in what Iran calls (oil rich) Khuzestan but which for centuries has been known as Arabistan (even by Iranians themselves) because of the millions of Arabs who have lived and at times ruled there, remain suppressed and deprived of such aspirations? Not long ago, a neighboring Iraqi Arab Saddam fought a bloody war with Iran over this.
Why are the rights of Arabs to that additional state in Palestine more important than those in Arabistan?
Secondly, while on the same subject, why are the rights of millions of Kurds--who have lived in what is now Iran as long as Iranians themselves--any less than those who proclaim that Arab state # 22 must be created on the ashes of the Jews’ microscopic, resurrected one?
For months now, Iranian artillery has been indiscriminately shelling Kurdish civilians across the border in Iraq, supposedly because of a fear that Iranian Kurds, who wish for autonomy in Iran, are taking refuge there. Imagine if Israel was doing this in Gaza.
Indeed, Turks, Iranians, and Arabs have been collaborating with each other in ways to deal with their respective Kurdish “headaches.” All have constantly worked to deny over thirty million Kurds political rights in a nationalist age. Yet all are quick to demand Israel’s suicide to create that second Arab state in Palestine. Recall that half of Israel’s Jews were refugees from the “Arab”/Muslim world…many from Iran itself.
And, finally, Mr. President, what about Iran’s own dealings with Azeris, Baluchis, and all the others you have come to dominate in your own imperialist, pre-nationalist age but who now have aspirations of their own as well? These folks make up at least half of your own alleged nation. And, again, you’ve ruthlessly and routinely squashed their aspirations.
What makes Iranian national rights more valid than those of others seeking their own small share of justice and fair play in the modern age…especially since they have not been permitted this within your own domain?
Why “Palestine” but not Arabistan?
Or Kurdistan? Or Baluchistan?
Yet you demonize an Israel less than the size of America’s small state of New Jersey because it refuses to return to its suicidal, 1949 armistice line-imposed, nine-mile wide, rump state status.
In short, Mr. President, when will you and your country drop the hypocritical double standards which characterize your foreign and domestic policies?
President Bollinger, please propose to your guest that the day his own country grants independence to Arabistan or Kurdistan will be the day Iran gains the right to lecture and accuse Israel. Unlike the former, which had plans to even outlaw the Arab language over its own “Arab problem,” Israel made Arabic the second official language of its state.
And finally, President Bollinger, please ask Ahmadinejad this last summary question…
How can you, President Ahmadinejad, and Iran sit on your moral high horse while you butcher and suppress the rights of millions within your own borders?

Hagar the Egyptian...not Arab
Hagar the Egyptian…Not the Arab
by Gerald A. Honigman
My wife, Elisabeth, amazes me for many reasons.
Not long ago, however, she raised a question that I had thought about before, but this time she truly shoved it onto the front burner of my brain…
We’ll return to this shortly.
During the 19th century, European scholars of the Middle East--German Jews in particular--were prone to paint a picture of a tolerant Muslim world which treated non-Muslims admirably.
While it is true that live Christians and Jews could be a better source of revenue for Muslims via special taxes than dead ones (and forget about non-“Peoples of the Book”--they converted or were killed), and there was no Holocaust per se of Jews under Muslim domination, it is also true that dhimmi populations never knew what the morrow would bring. Massacres, forced conversions, subjugation, and so forth were no strangers in the realm of Islam; a reading of Middle Eastern Jewish scholars such as Albert Memmi and Bat Ye’or is a must on this subject, as is newer work edited and/or authored by Andrew Bostom.
It seems that the whitewash--which still continues--was largely done to contrast an allegedly tolerant Arab/Muslim East--where Jews are commonly known as kilab yahud,“ Jew dogs,” and killers of prophets--to a historically intolerant Christian West, complete with its inquisitions, crusades, blood libels, forced ghettoization, forced conversions, massacres, Holocaust, and branding of the Jew as the deicide/G_d-killing, people.
So, what does this all have to do with Abraham’s wife, Sarah’s, servant, Hagar?
Firstly, keep in mind that we know of Abraham, in general, and of this story, in particular, comes via the Hebrew Bible. That is our one and only original source.
We have good corroborative evidence from contemporary, non-Hebraic sources that Asiatic Semitic Habiru /‘Apiru were on the move, causing headaches for Canaanites, Egyptian Pharaohs, and so forth about three and a half to four millennia ago.
We also know that around that time Semitic “Shepherd Kings” (the 15th Dynasty) conquered Egypt…probably kin to the Hebrews. One of the names mentioned in Hyksos records was Yacub…Jacob.
The Biblical story of the Hebrew patriarch, Jacob (later Israel), gaining permission to enter the Nile Valley most likely occurred during this time. And he was the grandson of the original Hebrew patriarch, Abraham.
Yes, you say, but others will claim that Muslims have their own version as well.
True, but, keep the following in mind…
When Muhammad, the Arabian Prophet of Islam, fled Mecca to Medina in 622 C.E. (the Hijrah), the mixed population of Jews and pagans welcomed him. Medina had been developed centuries earlier as a thriving date palm oasis by Jews fleeing the Roman assault (the banu-Qurayzah and banu-al-Nadir tribes, etc).
Muhammad learned much from the Jews. He listened to their prayers, their Biblical stories, and so forth. And while the actual timing of his decision on the direction of prayer may never be known, during his long sojourn with the Jews of Medina, his followers were instructed to pray towards Jerusalem. Early prominent Arab historians such as Jalaluddin came right out and stated that this was done primarily as an attempt to win support among the influential Jewish tribes (the “People of the Book") for Muhammad’s religio-politcal claims.
It is from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem where Muslims believe Muhammad ascended to Heaven on his winged horse. A mosque, the Dome of the Rock, would later be erected on this Jewish holy site after the Arab imperial conquest of the land in the 7th century C.E.
There is no doubt among objective scholars that Jews had an enormous impact on both Muhammad and the religion that he founded.
Hebraic Biblical stories are prominent in the Koran, and the holy sites for Muslims in Jerusalem (i.e. the mosques erected on the Temple Mount of the Jews) are now deemed “holy” precisely because of the critical years Muhammad spent after the Hijrah with the Jews.
The Temple Mount, Biblical stories of Abraham, and such had no prior meaning to pagan Arabs.
While there was some early Christian influence as well, intense scholarship has shown that the Holy Law (Halakha) and Holy Scriptures of the Jews had a tremendous influence on the Koran, Islamic Holy Law (Shari’a), and so forth.
Muhammad’s “Jerusalem connection” was most likely not established until after his extended stay with his Jewish hosts. This was no mere coincidence...Muslim religious beliefs regarding Muhammad’s alleged conversations with the Angel Gabriel, etc,. notwithstanding. And, as with Jerusalem, so with Islam’s subsequent supplanting of the Hebraic son of Abraham, Isaac, with the allegedly “Arab” son of Hagar, Ishmael.
When the Jews refused to recognize Muhammad as the Seal of the Prophets, he turned on them with a vengeance. Before long, with the exception of Yemen, there were virtually no Jews left on the Arabian Peninsula. And the direction of prayer was changed away from Jerusalem and towards the Kaaba in Mecca instead.
Okay…Now we’re ready to deal with the notion that Arabs are the Jews’ cousins since they’re allegedly descendants of Abraham’s son with Hagar, the Egyptian servant of Sarah.
Ramses II ruled Egypt in the 13th century B.C.E., after the native Egyptian reconquest of the land from the Semitic Hyksos. No doubt the latters’ allies fell into disfavor at this time as well...as seen in the story in the Biblical Book of Exodus. In one Egyptian relief, Ramses is depicted holding up three conquered peoples…a black African (probably Nubian), Asiatic Semite, and another probably East Asiatic type. Ramses looks quite different from all of the conquered types, as do other depicted Egyptians as well.
Now, the Bible states that Ishmael is the son of an Egyptian woman.
While it is true that Semitic culture entered into Egypt (some documents were written in Hieroglyphics in both Egyptian and presumably a Hyksos Semitic language), it’s an extremely far stretch to say that Hagar and Ishmael were thus Arabs.
It seems that just like some Jews wanted to contrast Western Christian and Eastern Muslim treatment of their brethren to make a point a bit earlier, that later--to try to ease the strife between Jewish and Arab nationalisms--others quite possibly (if not probably) stretched the identity of Hagar from Egyptian to Arab as well.
While Arabs from the Arabian Peninsula traveled to Egypt and elsewhere, the bulk of Semites coming into Egypt were not of that origin--regardless of wishful thinking by the espousers of the Winckler-Caetani Theory…which, among others, makes Babylonians, Canaanites, Assyrians, and Hebrews Arabs as well.
Abraham (son of a Babylonian Chaldean Semite), surfacing in history when he did, coincidental with the Semitic Hyksos conquest of Egypt, Hagar was most likely a non-Semitic or Semitic Egyptian. She was not likely Arab--so neither was Ishmael.
When the Jews made reference to Arabs--in the few places where they did--they were not shy to call them that. So, for example, Geshem the Arab appears in Nehemiah 2:19 and 6:1-6 as one of the three leaders opposing the Jews rebuilding the Temple after their return from Babylonian exile. If Hagar was an Arab, the Jews would have no reason not to say so.
After the Arab imperial conquest of Egypt and much of the region some twenty -four centuries later, with the spread of Islam via its Arab Prophet, it was beyond convenient for Arabs to write themselves into the original Hebraic story--claiming that Jews and Christians corrupted the original version.
My point is not to argue particular religious beliefs. That’s between people and G_d.
But when important claims are made to usurp those of others, the facts indeed need to be revealed.

Iranian Shelling of Kurds...Comparison With Israel
Imagine For One Moment…
by Gerald A. Honigman
…that instead of Iranian artillery indiscriminately shelling Kurdish civilians across the border in Iraq, it was Israeli artillery doing likewise to Arabs in Gaza.
Let’s step back a bit.
For weeks now, Iran has been shelling Kurdish villages in Iraq, supposedly because it fears that Iranian Kurds, who wish for autonomy in Iran, are taking refuge across the border. Iran says PEJAK--a breakaway faction of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK)--launches attacks from Iraqi bases.
For some time now, Turks and Iranians have been collaborating in ways to deal with their Kurdish “headaches.” In this, they’re soul mates with Arabs as well. All have worked to deny over thirty million Kurds--who pre-date Arabs and Turks in the region by millennia and who are there at least as long as Iranians--political rights in a nationalist age.
And it’s worse than that. All three have killed many hundreds of thousands of Kurds, subjugated living ones, and denied them even their own culture and language over the past century.
While the world demands a 22nd state for Arabs (their second, not first, one in “Palestine”…Arab Jordan sits on 80% of the latter), Kurds are still only referred to as separatists, terrorists, or the like when this subject comes up for them. The AP story on September 2nd was the latest to do this (“Iranian Shelling Angers Iraq,” by Yahya Barzanji). And consider the following as well. There are millions of Arabs in Iran’s own western, oil-rich Khuzestan province--so many that even Iranians have called it Arabistan for centuries. It was the main reason Iraq and Iran fought their bloody war several decades ago. Why not create Arab state #22 there--especially since the province did trade back and forth between Arab and Iranian rule over the centuries?
Answer…Won’t happen because the Iranians are total hypocrites.
Iran brutally suppresses Arab, Kurd, Baluchi, Azeri, and so forth when it comes to the question of Iran’s own unity and national security, yet it’s quick to point the finger at Israel about the latter’s reluctance to cave in to Hamas, Fatah, and other Arabs who still have the Jew of the Nations’ destruction as their end goal.
So, let’s return to the beginning of this article.
Over two years after Israel totally withdrew from Gaza, Israel’s south is still being bombarded indiscriminately by Arab rockets and so forth from Gaza. One of the latest hit near a day care center, damaging a home next door and sending 12 young children to the hospital. Another exploded on a street in the center of the city. In their statements to the press, the Arabs called the attacks a “gift” for the new school year.
Could you imagine the world-wide outcry, condemnations, editorials, and so forth if--in response to this barbaric, deliberate assaults on the most innocent--Israel merely repaid Arabs in kind?
Folks, if I was running the show, best believe they’d get a mega dose of their own medicine--and with just a slight bit of hesitation. I’d probably first issue sufficient warnings that such equal treatment will soon be coming…and then exponentially with each new Arab “revenge” attack.
Sorry, lefty, suicidal, liberals (and I’m an old fashioned Liberal, in many ways, myself…but a very different breed from the “new” species)--especially the head-in-the-sand Hebrew types.
Let Arabs see what it’s like when they’re subjected to random, indiscriminate bombardment like they dish out…perhaps afterwards they’ll think twice about allowing the deliberate murder and attempted murder of Jews from being launched from their lands. And, if not, the other way didn’t work either. When you’re outnumbered 300 million Arabs to 5 million Israeli Jews, perceived weakness and inaction is suicidal. Tit-for-tat responses don’t work under these circumstances.
Yeh, I know, the world would be screaming about “Nazi Jews” and such…the same world that watches Israel’s Sderot daily targeted and victimized and says nothing.
Whoops--sorry, I’m wrong…the world does say that Israel must cave in even more.
So, being “nice” hasn’t worked. Again, unilateral withdrawals and such are simply seen by Arabs as weakness and incremental victories towards their destruction-in-phases plans for Israel.
Jews try to do it right and get shafted anyway.
Israel tries its best to target the exact perpetrators--yet when the latter hide amidst their own populations (against the Geneva Conventions), civilians at times get caught in the middle…especially since Arabs love to use their own kids to retrieve rocket launchers after firing missiles at Israel. Sick…but again, no world outcry.
Now, given this situation regarding expectations of Israel to pinpoint targets as it responds to Arab terror, why is it that Iran feels free to attack Kurdish civilians at will because of its quarrel with Kurdish “separatists?”
Why is there no worldwide outcry for the plight of Kurdish victims and refugees--let alone the absence of support for Kurdish political aspirations? Where are editorials, nasty sermons and demands from the American State Department, and such?
While I’m not endorsing PKK or PEJAK attacks on innocents if and when they occur, please understand that neither Arabs, Turks, nor Iranians have granted Kurds anywhere near the rights that Israel has already conceded to Arabs which seek its very destruction …including partitions of the land itself. Why is the latter a must for Israel, but autonomy (at the least) and political rights for suppressed Kurds unspeakable?
Shortly, Mr. Bush’s Fall Summit to shove a Fatahstan--the Arabs’ second state in Palestine--down Israel’s throat will commence--despite the fact that Abbas’s allegedly “moderate” Arafatians have as much or more Jewish blood on their hands--and the same end goals regarding Jews--as Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Just visit all of their websites, for starters.
Is it not time for the plight of tens of millions of Kurds--who seek no one else’s destruction, but just a slice of political rights themselves which has been denied them up until now--to also move onto the front burner of the world’s moral conscience?
